Opportunities for Amazon hiring work from home jobs are higher than ever. We all know that Amazon dominates the online market and as they continue to grow, so does their need for more employees.
There are a variety of ways to work for Amazon but I’m going to focus on the at-home jobs for this particular post.
Let’s dive in and see exactly what jobs are available, where to find these job listings and how to apply for them to start making money online immediately.
I’ll be sure to cover a few bonus topics as well to answer a few more questions most people have when it comes to finding a new job.
How Do I Work From Home for Amazon?
Amazon has an endless number of departments. They are constantly in search of highly skilled employees to fill those positions across the entire company.
The nice thing about this is the opportunity to find something you’re qualified for is much higher than with other companies.
There are going to be positions that require a great deal of experience and a certain level of education while there are other jobs available for someone maybe just joining the workforce or doesn’t have the same experience needed for a higher paying job.
Keep in mind, you will have to be patient as you filter through all the job posts because there can be hundreds or even thousands at a time, even with setting a ton of filters.
The question everyone is looking for an answer to is, how can I get a job at Amazon?
Whether it’s to supplement your income or earn additional income on the side, you can check for jobs here and see if there’s anything that would be a good fit for you.
How Do I Know What Amazon Jobs are Available?
Since we are focusing on at-home jobs I’m going to walk you through exactly how to find those.
Once you click on the link I shared just above, you’ll arrive at a screen that looks like this:

After arriving at this screen, you’re going to scroll down. As you scroll you will notice the left sidebar that has all of the filter options available.
This is going to allow you to set all the filters that are appropriate for your availability, experience, and location.
Again, since we are focused on at-home opportunities, you are going to want to scroll down to the section named ‘Category’ and click the first option which is ‘Work from Home.’

For this particular search, I selected the ‘Work from Home’ as well as the ‘USA’ option. This brought the search results from 1,215 jobs available down to 389.
This will definitely make it easier to skim through the jobs until you see something that fits your criteria.
What is Amazon’s Work From Home Hiring Process?
As you scroll through all the available jobs you’ll have to apply to each one individually.
Choose a position that you think would be a good fit for you and click on the title. This will take you to the screen containing all the details about that job.
Just for purpose of showing you an example, I chose the first job on the list.
You can see the big blue area pointing to the yellow ‘Apply now’ button. Click it.

Once you click on the apply button it’s going to want you to sign in to your account. If you do not have an Amazon jobs account, you will need to create one.

I will assume if you’re reading this article you do not have an account yet so click the gray box that says ‘Create account.’
In order to set up your account, you will need to provide your email address along with a password. From there they will email a security code that you will need to enter in order to move forward with creating your account.
Once you do that, you will be required to login into your new account. As soon as you do you will be brought to this screen:
(Keep in mind, this is a random job post to show you the steps you’ll need to take in order to apply.)

Here you will upload your resume to begin. After that, you will simply go down the list on the left sidebar completing each section.
When you are done, click the ‘Review and submit’ button at the bottom.
You will need to repeat this process for every job post you want to apply for.
What Are Some Interview Tips I Should Consider?
Having a job interview can be quite nerve-racking. You have to sit in front of someone and sell yourself as to why you are the best person for whatever job it is that you’re applying for.
Some people do great in an interview while others simply freeze. The thing that sucks about that is the person that freezes might be the better choice but the interviewer would never know that.
Having access to some interview tips can be really helpful before going through the actual interview process. It may help just help you get the job so you can work from home for Amazon.
What I like is that if you search around inside your Amazon jobs profile, you will find a section called ‘Interview tips.’

Here Amazon has broken down Interview tips into multiple categories that are full of things you should do to prepare and also what to expect during the interview process.
This section is full of amazing information that will help you gain the upper hand over all the other applicants.
Imagine understanding what to expect before walking into an interview? It’s almost like having all the answers to the test back in high school.
I’d highly suggest checking out this section. I played around in it for about 20 minutes and found some fantastic information that I know most people would be thankful to have access to.

Amazon also highly suggests checking out their Leadership Principles before interviewing with them. These are the principles that are practiced every day by everyone that works for Amazon.

How to Get Your Foot In the Door
The best way for you to get your foot in the door with Amazon is by getting hired for a seasonal position. During the holidays they go on a hiring frenzy and it’s much easier to get a job during that time.
The peak season runs from November to January so try to get your application in before that.
This allows you to show what a dedicated and hard-working employee you are to hopefully turn your seasonal position into a full-time work-from-home job.
If you are looking for benefits, beware that most seasonal positions don’t offer them
Something else to keep in mind is you may not get hired for your desired position but take what you can get. If it allows you to showcase your skills, you’ll have a better chance at getting hired for a position you truly desire when they become available down the line.
Most companies promote hiring from within. This is a great way to move up within the company, boost your income, and make more money from home.

How Much Does Amazon Pay You to Work at Home?
This is quite tough to answer because the amount you are going to make is going to vary greatly depending on the job and your experience.
I’d suggest heading to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics so you have an idea of what your income potential should be for any given job you are applying for.
This will give you a good idea of how much money you should expect to make.
Does Amazon Offer At-Home Employees Benefits?
The answer is yes!
Though these may or may not change in the future, currently these are the benefits available to their employees.

Sometimes the benefits can offset a lower salary depending on how rich they are so take what they are offering into consideration when comparing it to the benefits you would potentially receive as well.
Also, keep in mind the benefits can vary based on location and if you hold a full-time, part-time, or seasonal position.
What Does the Work Schedule Look Like
The hours you work will vary based on the position you are hired for. Be aware though that Amazon is a company that is operating 24/7. There is an endless number of employees working at all hours of the day and night.
This might be beneficial for you if you are looking for specific hours. Be sure to ask if there is any flexibility or if you have a choice in which shift you work (if applicable).
This might afford you the opportunity to explore more ways to make money online and increase your potential income each month.
How Long Does it Usually Take to Know If I Got the Job?
Although Amazon doesn’t offer an exact timeline of how long it takes them to hire someone for any specific position, they do keep your dashboard updated regularly.
What this means is that as long as your application(s) are showing ‘Active’ they haven’t made a determination yet.
If your application goes from ‘Active’ to ‘Archived’ that can mean a variety of things including:
- you have been hired for the position
- someone else has been hired for the position
- you are no longer being considered for the position
- you withdraw your application for that job
So if you’re wondering about the status of your application, be sure to check the status on your dashboard.
What is Amazon Mechanical Turk AKA MTurk?
Some of you have heard about Amazon MTurk but what exactly does that mean?
Simply put, it’s an online platform where you can find an endless amount of small jobs. These are super easy tasks that can be done in a couple minutes at most.
At first glance, these “gig jobs” look simple so why not load up and start knocking them out, right?!?
Beware! If you do the math, it doesn’t always make sense to take on all these jobs. You could be making pennies per hour and not even realizing it. Don’t waste your time on those tasks. Look for the ones that are paying you much more to guarantee you are maximizing your hourly rate.
You won’t be making enough to cover your monthly living expenses by no means but if you do it right, you could potentially make an extra $500-$1000 each month.
My Thoughts
Amazon is a company that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. This makes me confident to say that there is always going to be a large job pool for people to find the perfect opportunity.
Just be sure you’re disciplined enough to work from home and that you are able to meet all the requirements to fulfill the position.
Some positions will let you work when you want as long as you get the job down while others are going to require you to login in and be present online like a traditional 9-5 job. This is definitely something you need to ask to make sure the position is right for you.
Now that you know how to find those at-home work positions, don’t forget to check out the interview tips Amazon is providing.
I hope you find something that’s just right for you and Good Luck!
